2021 John Deere Combine All models in the five-pronged S700 lineup take minor, but varied advances to improve crop performance, grain quality, and ease of use while providing customers with more choice.

“The S700 was released three years ago and Deere has made small changes every year,” said John Deere’s tactical marketing segment manager Marko Koeln.

“We’re trying to keep improving what we have in the market.”

The big news is the arrival of new front-end equipment being shared with the brand’s flagship X-Series to be released next year, including two hinged drapery headers that claim to provide excellent ground contouring capability.

“The front-end equipment has all been developed for the X9 global launch but is also S Series compliant, so when the X hit the shore, our dealers were already used to it,” said Koeln.

“Those hinged blinds will be available in 2021 in limited numbers and dealers will have access to them to demonstrate to our customer base.”

The new S700 also introduces an updated elbow/turret auger for better seed cart distance and a 7.9 m auger option for the S760, S770, and S780 HillMaster models, along with new factory-installed concave options for small grains and coarse grains.

Other changes include the addition of rice to the S700’s active yield function and a coverless grain tank hole for quicker and easier cleaning between crops.

Buyers also can now choose between the Tier 2 or Final Tier 4 versions of the combined 9.0 liter and 13.5 liter PowerTech engines.

Mr. Koelln said all the changes add up to the best of the S700, with more things coming for the 2022 model year.

2021 John Deere Combine News

John Deere takes crop performance to the next level by introducing two new Series X combinations for the 2021 harvest season. The X9 1000 and X9 1100 combine helping large-scale farmers thresh, segregate, and clear more bushels per hour or harvest more acres in a day – even when conditions change.

The X9 1100 can harvest up to 30 hectares of tough, high-yielding wheat per hour and up to 7,200 bushels per hour of high-yield corn.

“As conditions change, the X9 combination can make automatic adjustments for the operator so that it is consistently operating at peak levels,” said Matt Badding, harvester product manager for John Deere. “For example in the morning, the straw can become damp and make threshing and separating hard.

At midday, the humidity evaporates and harvest conditions improve. In the past, this change required the operator to adjust mix settings to help the machine compensate. Now, adjustments are made automatically. ”

These machines include a wide feeder house, dual separators, and the industry’s largest cleaning shoe, all of which work together to increase crop flow and increase harvesting capacity. “At the heart of the new combination is the X Series Dual Separator (XDS) with the largest threshing and separation area Deere has ever offered.

The plants in XDS were cut and separated for nine rounds, resulting in less grain loss and increased harvesting capacity, ”Badding said.

The 75-square-foot Dyna-Flo XL cleaning shoe has 36% more cleaning area than the S790. “It can harvest thin dry crops, thick wet plants, and everything in between, putting more high-quality grain into the tank once it’s through. Even if conditions change, grain quality remains high, “said Badding.

Equipped with a new John Deere PowerTech 13.6L engine that includes a powerful belt drive system and an updated ProDrive XL transmission, this extremely fuel-efficient combination can run up to 14 hours without refueling. “Compared to the S790, the X9 1100 uses 20% less fuel per bushel harvested to help keep crop costs low,” Badding said.

Also, a combination is available with integrated precision ag technology which collects critical machines and yields data and increases yields. More accurate than previous models, the integrated StarFire 6000 Receiver does not require Terrain Compensation Module (TCM) calibration. Combined with the new guidance system upgrade, the new receiver boots up and acquires a GPS signal faster, so the combination can start running with increased accuracy in less time.

Both models come standard with the JDLink, which includes five years of service. This enables machine-to-machine communication making it easier for manufacturers to share agronomic information and machine performance. With John Deere Connected Support, customers get dealer service through Expert Alerts – an industry-exclusive remote support capability – plus.

Customers can choose from three technology packages for the X Series combination: Select, Premium, and Ultimate. Options include the StarFire 6000 Integrated Receiver, Generation 4 4600 Display, Harvest Smart, Interactive Combine Adjustments, and Connect Mobile-ready. By using the Select package, Premium includes Active Terrain Adjustment and Premium 3.0 Activation with AutoTrac RowSense, Section Control, and In-Field Data Sharing.

Everything in Select and Premium is included in Ultimate along with Activation Automation 3.0 with Generation 4 Machine Sync and Combine Advisor Technology Package with ActiveVision Camera and Auto Maintain technology. All Series X combinations can be connected to the John Deere Operations Center, a cloud-based central location where farmers can electronically share machine or operational information with trusted partners and advisors.

The revamped X Series cab includes more storage space, more USB ports, and better connectivity than its predecessor. An optional touchscreen satellite radio can be added so that the smartphone is ready for a more automotive-like experience, so operators can use voice commands or the integrated controls to get directions, make calls, listen to music, or send and receive messages.

Customers have three choices of taxi packages: Select, Premium, or Ultimate. Ultimate includes a new heated and ventilated massage chair that rotates 16 ° right or left for increased operator visibility and all-day comfort. A Signature Edition is also available and includes the highest level of comfort, lighting, and technology package Deere has to offer.

You can also provide additional protection to your new machine with John Deere’s Protect Expansion Service Pack. This includes options to lock in operating costs and maximize uptime during harvest through Annual Expert Checks, routine maintenance, 24-hour Uptime Guarantee, and Wear Parts Coverage.

The joins can be equipped with wheels or tracks. The X9 1000 grain tank holds up to 420 bushels, and the X9 1100 holds up to 460 bushels of grain. Folding loading and unloading augers with Adjustable Spout is available for the X Series in 26, 28.5, or 31 ft lengths.

John Deere will begin taking orders for the Series X combination later this summer. For more details, contact your local dealer or visit JohnDeere.com.
