“For the 2023 model year, we have taken those expectations to the next level, by adding more horsepower and versatility.”

The engine from the larger 6M Utility Tractor will now be used in the four-cylinder version of the 5M and will carry an additional five horsepower, with new model options, the 5095M, 5105M, 5120M, and 5130M.

The 5075M remains in the lineup for a three-cylinder, 74-horsepower option, available by cab or open station. High-crop and low-profile models will also receive increased horsepower and include the 5105MH, 5105ML, 5120ML, and 5130ML.

The 5M’s versatility is enhanced by the available axle-rod options, giving customers the flexibility to adjust tire clearances up to 90 inches, allowing for less crop damage when building-wide wind blades, or for more stability when cutting on hillsides.

The tire spacing can also be narrowed to match the row spacing in row crop applications. The bar axle also opens up the option to add doubles, for increased stability, reduced ground pressure and easier operation on rough terrain.

Three transmission options are available on the 5M Series. The field-proven PowrReverser™ transmission provides an easy-to-use two-lever option for changing ranges and gears and is available on 75 to 120-horsepower models.

The PowrQuad™ PLUS and Powr8™ transmissions, available for models from 95 to 130 horsepower, offer an easy operator experience and include a single shift lever that puts shifting range and speed at the operator’s fingertips without the need for a foot clutch.

All 5M transmissions continue to have left-hand reversing for easy direction changes during a variety of applications.

The customer launch is June 6, with production starting in November 2022.

2023 John Deere 5075E

Features of the 2023 John Deere 5E Series 5075E may include:

2023 John Deere 5075E: An axle with mechanical front-wheel drive (MFWD) increases traction in challenging conditions.

A heavy-duty, limited-slip MFWD front axle will provide increased drawbar pull and enhanced traction when operating in slick conditions. This ensures that the requisite torque is transmitted to the ground for applications that require more from the tractor. Additionally, the MFWD front axle reduces wheel slippage with less tractor ballasting, resulting in less soil compaction, improved fuel economy, and extended tire life.

The MFWD’s centerline design provides superior maneuverability around the job site and increased crop clearance, allowing farmers to maintain their crop and profits. When wheel treads are adjusted with a caster angle of 6 degrees and a turn angle of 55 degrees, the resulting turning radius is as small as 3 meters (9.9 feet) (brakes applied), allowing plenty of horsepower to maneuver in confined spaces. Axle oscillation of 10 degrees allows for consistent performance and comfortable travel over uneven terrain.

Because loads are uniformly distributed across the entire axle, axle oscillation also reduces tension and maintenance costs on the axle spindles. The centerline design eliminates the need for regularly maintained drive shaft universal joints. Standard anti-wrap shielding on the driveline prevents agricultural material and debris from accumulating around the driveline and ensures the performance of the tractor. Three grease locations are conveniently located to reduce maintenance time and optimize the performance of the front axle.

Controls that aid in straightforward operation and are intuitive

2023 John Deere 5075E: Regardless of the application, operator convenience is essential. The hand gearshift on 5E 3-cylinder Tractor models has been relocated to the right-hand console. This location on the center-hand console is now 30.5 cm (12 inches) closer to the operator and within easy reach. The repositioned loader controls may also provide additional legroom for the operator, resulting in a more pleasurable experience.

2023 John Deere 5075E: 9F/3R SyncShuttleTM transmission – A transmission that is simple to operate and saves time and effort.

2023 John Deere 5075E: The SyncShuttle transmission is designed to complement the outstanding power and torque characteristics of John Deere PowerTechTM engines. The pressure-lubricated upper shaft increases the transmission’s durability, allowing the operator to maintain performance from one working season to the next. Moreover, this in-base transmission features fixed draft links, a single-speed power take-off (PTO), and mechanical PTO engagement.

The transmission is described as full top shaft synchronized (TSS) when shifting forward between gears while moving, and as synchronized when the clutch is depressed.

PowrReverserTM 12F/12R transmission is suitable for demanding applications

The PowrReverser transmission from John Deere offers 12 forward and 12 reverse ratios for operators who require greater versatility for a variety of applications. It includes a shiftable 540/540 Economy power take-off (PTO) and electronically activated telescoping draft linkages as standard equipment. This transmission is optimal for tractor operators who utilize their tractors for a variety of applications.

Wet hydraulic forward and reverse clutches are the most durable and will outlast any dry clutch. When multiple operators with varying levels of experience operate tractors, a wet clutch is the most cost-effective method to maintain transmission integrity and performance while reducing clutch replacement expenses.

The gear lever selects one of four settings, all of which are synchronized for clutchless shifting on the move. The range lever selects non-synchronized collar-shift A, B, and C ranges.
